Weekend in Blue Ridge, GA

Happy Anniversary to us!  The Bassman and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this year with a weekend in Blue Ridge, GA.

On the way, we stopped at one of our favorite places to eat in Chattanooga, TN.  The Boat House has unique seafood dishes as well as good filet mignon.  I had the rough chopped mignon sandwich with fries and the Bassman had a BBQ shrimp dish.  Yum!

They also have the Lawton's Marguerita.  This is the best marguerita I have ever had and they won't share the recipe.

Just a warning if you have one, proceed with caution!

Here we are playing with the timer on the camera.   I've decided I don't like the view-from-under-the-chin self photos!  Haha!!

We wanted to get to the cabin before dark.  It's not much fun looking for a place you've never been on a gravel road in the dark...  Here are a few features of the property that I liked.

Pretty flowers growing on a vine.

Fence on the side.

Upstairs deck and swing

Metal decor

Upper and lower level decks

This eastern view would be even more beautiful in the fall.  Better book now!

We take the mighty Tennessee River in our area for granted.  This section of the Toccoa River in Blue Ridge is almost dry.

More to come!
